UCO

More consumers and companies want green products and services. This shift encourages people to collect waste, like used cooking oil, for recycling into biodiesel.
Technological advancements are making it easier to turn used cooking oil (UCO) into biodiesel. New methods like supercritical fluid extraction and enzymatic transesterification produce biodiesel with higher purity. These innovations also lower the costs of collecting, transporting, and processing UCO.
Europe is increasingly driving the market for used cooking oil. This is the outcome of growing environmental consciousness and favorable governmental regulation. Promoting the use and production of renewable energy sources through the Renewable Energy Directive and the Fuel Quality Directive in Europe is one of the key factors driving the rise of the used cooking oil industry in this region. North America is followed by Europe which is showing the significant value share in the global used cooking oil, the major reason is increasing usage of biofuel to complete the energy requirement in the region. However, South and East Asia are projecting the highest growth in the global cooking oil market due to population growth and growing awareness for used cooking oil.
